Back from AZ

As the title suggests, I've returned! What I thought would be a mediocre weekend, turned out to be one I would have never expected. It was just wonderful. No other way to really say it. I made new friends and met an old one. I haven't seen Yami in about 4 years, so it was a HUGE bonus when I looked up from doing whatever it was I was doing to see her standing in front of my table. We ended up spending most of the weekend together. It was a total blast!

Weekend breakdown is a go!

Thursday: On the way to Raleigh, I stopped at a gas station. In the bathroom, they had one of those dispensers for "various things". For shits and giggles, I got one of the pleasure enhancements, and out pops a box with $1 in it. For 75cents, I got a dollar! So later on that evening, I'm hanging out with the people from my hotel room, all of which are under 19. The people in the room next to us come and hang out, who are all under 19, too. Everyone's taking turns giving age and what grade they are in, and finally turn to me and ask me what grade I'm in. It was the BEST compliment ever!

Friday: I make friendly with my table neighbors Kitty, Becca, and Shadi. Kitty invites me out with them and some guys that have been hanging around the table periodically throughout the day. Right before alley closing, Yami shows up so of course we invite her. So the 8 of us end up going to IHOP, where they stick us in the smoking section and pretty much quarantine us from the rest of the restaurant. I honestly don't blame them because we were pretty loud and obnoxious but it was so much fun. Then it's back to the guys' hotel to semi-party (minor drinking and just talking just isn't "partying").

Saturday: After less than 3 hours of sleep, Yami and I are back to convention center. By the way, the 4 cheese egg souffle at Panera Bread is fucking delicious! Yami stayed the whole day and hung out. She bought sexy boots, which she let me wear, and then stupidly wore while the two of us, Dusty and Ozzy went out for a late lunch. Walking up and down many, many stairs in 6 inch heels is NOT a good idea. Yami and I ended up leaving the con early that night so we could hang out with some of her friends. It was a lot of fun. And I must say, she has one gorgeous apartment. And the cutest kitty!

Sunday: Yami drops me off at the con centre and we say our goodbyes. It was so nice to spend the weekend with her and I'm so happy she's close so we could actually do stuff together again. The guys end up bringing 6 dozen doughnuts to the convention to pass around the alley and to various con goers in the area. They ended up having a huge line of people following them around for fun. After the doughnuts were gone, Dusty comes and sits with me. We start talking about the dealer's room, which I've managed to avoid the whole weekend. He invites me to go with him and how can I resist? And watching him try change his shirt in public like us girls do was fucking hysterical. Sorry hun, but I couldn't help laughing my ass off. So the day eventually fizzles out and it's time to pack up. Dusty invites me to go to dinner with him and the other guys. We pack up and head out, and end up back at their hotel trying to find a place to eat. What was supposed to be dinner at a nice restaurant turned into ordering delivery Chinese food and watching Kung Fu Panda. And you know what? That was far more fun than what was originally planned. For multiple reasons. Plus, I got cuddling time with nice guy and who can pass that up?

I have to give a big thanks to Ozzy and Kitty for helping to man my table at the times I was gone. Especially on Sunday. And to Weatherly from Aardvark Tees. My new shirt totally kicks ass!

So yeah. Now that AZ is over with, it's time to start working on getting at least something to sell at Craftyfeast underway and then I can finally take a break. Or at least do stuff I want to do for myself. LIKE PLUSHIES!
